Eri seeks to uncover Holy in the ordinary, mundane objects that surround us.
Painting with egg tempera on wood, driftwood, stones and discarded objects, Eri aims at revealing the saintly figures that lay hidden in their curvature and lines, establishing moments of peace and communication with the inner self.
Her choice of medium, colors and themes is deeply affected by the history and culture of the Mediterranean and namely the folk tradition of Greece; the nature and spirituality of the region.
Moreover, Eri feels indebted to the women that came before her, whose role, identity and legacy is trying to showcase in her work .
Eri lives and works in Crete, Greece where -since 2012- shares her studio with her mother
