Description

The hour of original sin. Adam and Eve, the first created are represented with wide opened eyes and fig leaves. On the top there is the biblical verse of Genesis in Greek (K efagon egymnothisan).

“Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings.”- Genesis 3:7 (NKJV).

A theme that is taken from a mosaic , created on early Christian times. The painting is executed with mixed media on an “irregular” panel that has a tree (the tree of knowledge) mark with pyrography on the left  side.The icon is prepared as a gift along with some extras from the shop.
