Description

Tradition connects red eggs with the Ressurection of the Lord and St Mary Magdalene was the first to witness it. The framed icon of  Saint and Apostle Mary Magdalene depicts her with the red egg on the one hand and a myrrh-jar on the other.

The materials used for the painting sre

• A handcrafted frame gilded with 22Kgold.
• Canvas and egg tempera were used to create more texture
• The inscription is in Greek.
• After painting, the icon is varnished to seal the colors and produce an artwork that will last.

The icon comes carefully protected and wrapped as a gift with some little extras from our shop.
