Description

I combined beach pottery with repurposed wood and nails to construct the Desert Abbas and Ammas. I ve always stood in awe in front of the magbitude of this people that left everything behind to search for God in the most desolated and unfriendly places.

• I painted with acrylic colors the the triangular  hermits face in the beach pottery tile
• I used a brownish (like sepia) color to depict mothers and the fathers (a crowd of saints) on the repurposed construction wood
• I kept the old nails that were nailed on wood
• Varnished and mounted a hanger on the back
