A sweet folk representation of  the Holy Mother named Panagia Gorgona. A Theotokos inspired by Greece. This folk piece is deriving from the tradition of the Greek islands, with the Birth -giver of God protecting the ships and sailors

The icon of Theotokos is painted:

• in a repurposed chunck of wood (its relative size can be seen in the pics)
• with eggtempera with bold bright colours-
• Several layrs of organic and resin varnish have been applied to seal the colours to produce an artifact that can last for generations
