Rachel weeping at Ramah. As per Matthew 2:18 “In Rama was there a voice heard, lamentation, and weeping, and great mourning, Rachel weeping for her children, and would not be comforted, because they are not.”

A very strong theme and sadly very- very contemporary. The image is taken from a fresco that is found in the church of Panagia Kera in Kritza, Crete. The  name “Rachil” is written in medieval Greek characters. The icon comes very carefully packaged along with its gift wrapping and some mini extras from our shop
