Description

Aghios Georgios is a much venerated Saint throughout Christianity.  This contemporary painting of Saint George in a red frame is made  with very few colours such as red, grey and blue. The Saint is painted  in an elongated panel measurting 40x20cm. The dominance of red as well as the red framing makes this icon an impressive piece.

The materials used for the painting are:

• A handcrafted  red frame.
• Prepared plywood  with gesso and and egg tempera 
• The inscription is in Greek: Aghios Georgios 
• A metal hanger on the back
• After painting, the icon is varnished to seal the colors and produce an artwork that will last.

The icon comes carefully protected and wrapped as a gift with some little extras from our shop.
