Description

St Pachomius the Great and the Angel. A representation of  the memont where the monk saint receives the rules of Coenobitic Life. The Angel wears the monastic tonsure and gestures towards it.  The angel  holds a scroll that writes “By this scheme all flesh is saved, O Pachomius” .

• I used plywood specially prepared with gesso
• I used  eggtempera as a medium. This technique creates volume basically with thin layers of color being applied on top on each.
• I varnished the piece to produce an icon that lasts.It has a hanger on the back .

Finally, the icon of the Desert Saintb and the Angel of the Lord is packaged as a gift with little extras from our shop.
