Description

Eastern orthodox Christians celebrate St Theodore of Tyro. St Theodoros also celebrates at the First Saturday of the Great Lent -after a miracle of His performed the same day.

The colors in this icon are bold, the Saint is a young Military saint, “an Athlete of Christ”.

The material sued for the icon are:

• a gessoed wooden panel.
• The medium  we used was egg tempera applied
• The painting is sealed with shellac and finally varnished on top to last.
• The background of the icon is covered with color
• The halo has copper gold
