Description

An Icon of Saint Anthony the Great. A desert dweller  and the father of all monks. The saint is dressed in a monk’s garment, holding a scroll that writes in Greek one of his quotes:   “”I no longer fear God but I love Him… [for perfect love casts out fear.]

Repurposed  materials are very interesting, especially the ones that I find on the many beaches of my island. Their unique shapes can be used together with with colors to create forms and images .

• The icon is painted directly on driftwood
• I used acrylics and varnish
• A metal hanger is also fixed on the back
